2011 Hoptown Cycle Show and Competition Winners List

The City of Hopkinsville, Division of Parks and Recreation, with the Defenders Motorcycle Club, a group of local law enforcement officers, hosted a motorcycle show and competition on Saturday, August 6^th, 2011, 4pm till 9pm, at the Christian County Justice Center, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Although the day started out rainy, the weather cleared by mid-afternoon and we enjoyed a pleasant evening.

Approximately 30 motorcycles entered the competition.  In addition to our local Defenders Club and their members, we were joined by members of the Roughneck Motorcycle Club, from the Oak Grove/Fort Campbell area.  Brenda West brought her concessions trailer and provided food and beverage services.  Scott Chase provided DJ services and music during the event. We estimate that 75 people participated or came by during the evening.

1^st Place Dyna Division and Best Show – Ed Taylor

Sportster Division – Thomas Fain

Touring Division – Doug Bennett

Soft Tail Division – Nick Gresham

V-Twin Division – Gary Sheldon

Antique Division – “Boogie” Glen

Best Club Participation – Roughneck Motorcycle Club

We plan to make the Hoptown Cycle Show and Competition an annual event.
